Ombudsman Open House 2016: The Ombudsman invites all Secondary Schools to attend!

Philipsburg, On 26 February 2016 the Ombudsman will once again be hosting an Open House at the Bureau Ombudsman, to inform the public of the role of the Ombudsman and to introduce the persons attending to their concerns. 

Focus on Secondary School Students

This year the focus of the Open House is on the secondary school students, in particular those in the exam classes. Special emphasis will be placed on making them aware of the role of the Ombudsman in serving the community as provided for by the Constitution, as well as encourage  them to prepare for a possible future within the High Councils of State . All public and private high schools have been invited to attend the Open House. Management of the schools is requested to respond promptly to the invitation sent to them in order to organize transportation if required.

Short Presentation

During the Open House, a short presentation will be given by the Ombudsman and the students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the institution of the Ombudsman, our Constitution and Government structure. 

General Public Invited

The general public is invited to drop by for a tour of the Bureau and learn more about the tasks and activities of the Ombudsman.

The doors will be opened for the public from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
