The Ombudsman, Dr. Nilda Arduin, proudly welcomes the CAROA executive board once more to Sint Maarten. The Board of CAROA ( Caribbean Ombudsman Association) has chosen Sint Maarten, because of its central location, to hold its board meeting at the Bureau Ombudsman from February 26th to February 28t 2014.

Dr. Nilda Arduin is a substitute member of CAROA and one of the board of directors of the International Ombudsman Institute.In May last year the Ombudsman of Sint Maarten hosted the 7th biennial CAROA conference which was deemed a huge success. It was attended by Ombudsmen from the Caribbean and was privileged to have as presenters the president of the International Ombudsman Institute, Mrs. Beverly Wakem, the Ombudsman of Sweden Marianne von Esch and the renowned founder of the SYT Investigation method, Mr. Andre Marin.
